Ketamine-assisted therapy is used more and more these days by the medical and psychotherapy communities to ease emotional pain and heal trauma.
From my view, it is very exciting to see psychotherapy and medical communities train and step into interventions that involve the realms of non-ordinary reality (the energetic or spirit realms) -– the place where shamanic work happens. It makes sense, since shamans were the first counselors and are also experts at navigating non-ordinary reality.
To synthesize these two powerful methods, it’s essential to understand how to build sacred ritual space, hold this space for your client/patient and also be versed in the conditions of non-ordinary reality.
This two-hour training will include
- Three foundational shamanic views not prominent in modernity
- The elements of sacred ritual space and how to create it
- Helping your client connect with compassionate resources before their session (This will include a demonstration)
- How to stay connected with your client during the session
- Bringing the work to a transformative conclusion through shamanic intervention possibilities and/or IFS work during or after the session
Who might benefit from this training
- Ketamine-assisted therapy practitioners
- Internal Family Systems therapists
- Other curious medical or mental health providers
- Anyone holding healing space for others
